Lavine recognized for excellence

Eric P. Lavine, a juvenile detention officer for Juvenile Probation, has been selected as an executive member of the Biltmore Who’s Who Executive and Professional Registry.

The selection, recognizes Lavine’s commitment to excellence in local government.

Lavine, the son of Mildred Durall Simon of New Iberia and the late Eugene Lavine, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice from the University of Phoenix and is certified in crime scene investigation through Kaplan University. He has spent the past 13 years working in his current role as a detention officer for juveniles.

Lavine is currently pursuing a master’s degree in forensic psychology at Argosy University. He hopes to work in crime scene investigation and to gain a better understanding of individual behavior in committing to a variety of crimes.

A member of the American Criminal Justice Association, Lavine is also a national K-9 security credential holder. He also completed dialysis Studies at Malcom X College in Chicago.
