Zeta Phi Beta Soroity inc., Upsilon Upsilon Zeta Chapter and its auxiliary, Zeta Amicae of Loreauville, recently awarded two Teche area students, Derriyan Price and Gabrean Stansbury, with local scholarships.

Price is a 2012 honor graduate of Westgate High School. She plans to attend Xavier University to major in Chemistry/Pre-med. She is the daughter of Wanda Hypolite of New Iberia.

Stansbury is a 2012 honor graduate of Franklin Senior High School. She plans to attend Louisiana State University to major in secondary math and minor in psychology. She is the daughter of Almetra Pierce and Charles Stansbury Jr. of Centerville.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. was funded in 1920 on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C., with the principles of scholarship, service, sisterly love and finer womanhood.
