Maddox Miller, a native of New Iberia, and graduate of Louisiana State University was recipient of the prestigious University Medal, given to graduating seniors with the highest grade point average in the class.

Forty-two seniors received the award at a special ceremony for graduating with the highest undergraduate grade-point average.

Martin had received a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Agriculture.
