Two seniors will lead Centerville’s Class of 2013

CENTERVILLE – Centerville High School will award diplomas to more than 30 students Thursday night with two graduates leading the Class of 2013.

Jaric Jamar McDaniel, son of Joshua and Gail McDaniel, will graduate with a 4.0 GPA and will attend Louisiana State University this fall. McDaniel has earned the TOPS scholarship.

Gabriella Monique Darden, daughter of Monique Darden and the late Glenn Darden, will graduate with a 3.9 GPA. Darden also will attend LSU, where she plans to major in a study in the mathematics and science fields.

Darden has earned the TOPS Honors Scholarship award, the LSU Academic Scholars Resident Award for $1,500 per year, the LSU Chancellor’s Student Aid Program Award for $1,550 per year, the Daniel Fontenot Jr. Scholarship and the Scott Tractor Company Scholarship.

While in high school she was active in the 4-H Club, Quiz Bowl and Yearbook.
