Iberia Parish placed seventh overall out of 17 parishes at the annual Elementary State Fitness Meet held in Baton Rouge on Saturday, April 27, 2013.

Ashlyn Broussard scored a total of 619 points, and Kameron Crochet scored a total of 600 points. Abigail Judice placed third in sit and reach with a score of 42 centimeters and second in curl ups with 113 curl ups in a minute.

Camden Tyler placed first in curl ups performing 139 curl ups in a minute, breaking the previous state record of 124 curl ups in a minute. Now Iberia Parish has two state record holders in curl ups. Taylore’ Gonzales from Dodson Elementary broke the state record last year with 164 curl ups in a minute.
