A Home Going Celebration will be held for Shelia Sparrow, 49, at noon on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Fletcher Funeral Home, New Iberia, with the Rev. Arthur Lee Alexander officiating. Interment will be private.

A gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday at the funeral home 8 a.m. until the time of service.

A resident of Jeanerette, Shelia passed at 3 p.m. on Monday, November 11, 2013, at Dauterive Hospital, New Iberia.

She leaves to cherish her memory and in God’s care one daughter Tiffany Sparrow of Jeanerette; three brothers Richard Sparrow Jr. (Doretha), Ernest Sparrow (Charlotte) of Beaumont, Texas, and Allen Sparrow (Wanda) of Jeanerette; four sisters Pearly Mae Williams of Beaumont, Texas, Mary Palidore (Leo), Sandra Sparrow and Audrey Sparrow, all of Jeanerette; three grandchildren Dejea, Nya and Taylor, all of Jeanerette; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She now joins in glory with her parents, Richard Sparrow and Agnes Spain Sparrow; brothers Willie Lee Sparrow and Prantias Sparrow; paternal grandparents, George and Emily Sparrow; and maternal grandparents, Johnny and Marjorie Turner Spain.
