The Teche Area’s first major bass tournament of the year is scheduled to be held Saturday.

The Louisiana Bass Cats 2014 Invitational Bass Tournament, which features a guaranteed first-place prize of $1,000, will be held out of Cabot Boat Landing on the Intracoastal Waterway. Tournament hours are 7 a.m. to the weigh-in at 4 p.m.

Entry fee is $100 per boat with an optional big bass fee of $10.

There is a five-fish limit with a 12-inch minimum length limit.
