CATAHOULA — A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Ruby Boudreaux Segura, 79, at 11 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2014, at St. Rita’s Catholic Church with Fr. Richard Fabre officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Saturday with a Rosary at 7 p.m. and again on Sunday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. The funeral home will reopen on Monday at 8 a.m. until service time.

A native of Catahoula and resident of Breaux Bridge, Mrs. Segura passed away at 4:55 a.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2014, at St. Agnes Nursing Home.

She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Ann Edwards and husband, Britt, of Denton, Texas; three sons Billy Dean Segura Sr. and wife, Lynn, of Lafayette; Brian Segura of Breaux Bridge and Paul Segura Jr. and companion Melinda Nicholson of St. Martinville; six grandchildren Billy Dean Segura Jr., Lacie Segura, Joshua Segura, Shaun Segura, Katie Belle Edwards and Dillon Edwards; seven great-grandchildren Remy Segura, Brock Segura, Raylen Drake, Lay’la Drake, Lanaeah Drake, Wesson Segura and Sawyer Segura; four brothers Larry Boudreaux and wife, Patricia, and Patrick Boudreaux and wife, Cheryl, all of Henderson, Jimmy Boudreaux and wife, Janice, of St. Martinville and Johnny Boudreaux and wife, Mary, of Catahoula; and three sisters Helen Boudreaux of Butte LaRose, Anna Lee Fancher of Carenco and Anna Lou Guisendorf of Youngsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Meyer and Lena Johnston Boudreaux; four brothers Wesley, Adley, Al and Michael Boudreaux; and two sisters Thelma LeBlanc and Cecile Davis.

Pallbearers will be Billy Dean Segura Sr., Brian Segura, Paul Segura, Billy Dean Segura Jr., Joshua Segura and Shaun Segura.
