N.I. student gets scholarship award

Tierra LaShae Lombard of New Iberia has been named the 2014 Carl “CJ” Richard Jr. Memorial Scholarship winner. By displaying her unending commitment for her community and continuous determination, her efforts of achievement earned her a $500 scholarship with the organization. The organization provides scholarships to deserving area high school seniors that have the need of financial assistance and eagerness to achieve knowledge by intending to pursue post high school education.

She is a New Iberia Senior High School Honor Graduate earning a 3.1 GPA and was actively involved and committed to many organizations and participated in many community service projects. In the fall, she will be attending Xavier University of Louisiana where she will major in Biology/Pre Med becoming a Pediatric Nephrologists.

She is the daughter of Chantel and Rodney Foster of New Iberia.
