Centerville graduating 31; Arias, Guidroz lead class

CENTERVILLE — Centerville High School will graduate 31 seniors during 6 p.m. Thursday ceremonies at the school gymnasium.
Leading the Class of 2015 will be valedictorian Christian Cole Arias, who earned a 4.0 grade point average, and salutatorian Alison Nicole Guidroz, who earned a GPA of 3.958.
Arias, the son of Chasity and Chip Buford, has qualified for the TOPS Scholarship Award and plans to attend Louisiana State University to study veterinary medicine.
He participated in football, basketball, baseball, track and cheer squad. He was a member of the Senior Beta Club, Future Farmers of America, 4-H and the Science Olympiad Team.
Among his achievements are the Outstanding 4-H Member Award, Student of the Eyar, Free Mason’s Honesty and Integrity Award, Academic All State in Basketball, Baseball and Track, All American Cheerleader, District and State Literary Rally, first place in Agriculture I and II and second place Beer Premier Exhibitor for 4-H.
Guidroz, daughter of Heather and Sean Comeaux, also has qualified to receive Louisiana TOPS Award and will attend Northwestern State University Scholar’s College and will seek up to a master’s degree in psychology.
She was a member of the Senior Beta Club and basketball manager.
