Bethany Leigh Romero and Nicholas Charles Sapienza were married on Friday, Aug. 14, 2015, at the Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist in Lafayette. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Craig Francis Romero of New Iberia. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Richard Sapienzaof New Iberia.

The Rev. Emile Noel officiated the nuptial Mass.

The bride wore an elegant and timeless, silk gown. For her headpiece, she wore a family heirloom cathedral veil.

Serving as matron of honor was Sarah Romero Mulé and the maids of honor were Hannah Romero and Danielle Romero. Bridesmaids were Samantha Stevens Phothirath, Courtney Dugas, Emily Talley, Abigail Boyd, Allison Doerle, Allie Hargrave, Claire LeBlanc, Meryl Boudreaux, Sarah Sapienza, Mia Sapienza and Christina Grisaffe.

Flower girls were Amelie Bergeron, Annalise Phothirath, Annie Landry, and Rosalie Mulé, nieces of the bride.

Serving as best man was Paul Sapienza. The groomsmen were Matthew Goulas, Ross Walet, Avery Seth Mestayer, Isaac Romero, Sam Sapienza, Jason Doerle, Andrew Holleman, James Houston Simon, and Talmon Vice.

Jacob Romero, Nicholas Landry, Millard Mulé, William Quinlan, Robert Behringer Jr. and Charles Sapienza served as ushers.

A reception for family and friends was held at La Marquise Ballroom.

Following a honeymoon to Coco Bay, Antigua, the couple will reside in Lafayette.
