Railroad crossing at Center Street in New Iberia closed for Tuesday

The railroad crossing on Center Street near St. Peter Street will be closed for repairs from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday.
According to the state Department of Transportation and Development, the Burlington Northern SantaFe crossing 300 feet from Louisiana 182 will be closed during business hours Tuesday. A detour will be set up for Louisiana 182 (St. Peter and Main streets, Louisiana 675 (Hopkins Street) and Louisiana 674 (Admiral Doyle Drive).
The DOTD stated in a prepared statement that the work should be completed Tuesday.
