Wilson Joseph Suire

Funeral services will be celebrated for Wilson Joseph Suire, 65, at noon on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at Evangeline Funeral Home. Pastor Khamphouvieng Keohavong will officiate. Interment will be held privately at a later date.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home on Tuesday from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until time of services.

Wilson was born July 19, 1950, in New Iberia to the Celeste Gaspard Suire and the late Wilton Suire. He passed away peacefully Sunday, January 3, 2016, at Iberia Medical Center.

Wilson was a talented carpenter and worked in construction most of his life. Outside of his work, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be missed dearly.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Anna Touchet Suire, of New Iberia; his children Danielle Suire Bounyaseng and husband, Toung, Shane Suire and wife, Wendy, of Avery Island, Brock Touchet and fiancée Denaise Choate and Christopher Touchet of Texas; six grandchildren Angelina, Dremone, Amelia and Haven Bounyaseng and Gage and Adelia Touchet; his mother, Celeste Gaspard Suire, of New Iberia; a sister Rosemary Ronsonet and husband, William, of Lydia; a niece and nephew Sadie Ronsonet and Seth Ronsonet and wife, Cheyenne; a great-niece Addison Ronsonet; his father-in-law Dennis Touchet; four brothers-in-law Ronald Touchet and wife, Regina, Steve Touchet and wife, Kristy, Rene Touchet and wife, Roxanne, and Wayne Touchet; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his father, he was preceded in death by a sister Marie Suire; and his mother-in-law Betty Touchet.
