Bourgeois — Jarreau

Maxine Marie Bourgeois and Ryan Anthony Jarreau were married Saturday, April 30, 2016, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in New Iberia. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Langdon Eldredge Bourgeois of Jeanerette. The groom is the son of Mrs. Bonnie Ourso Roy of Baton Rouge and Jeffrey Paul Jarreau of Baton Rouge.

The Rev. Ed Degeyter officiated the 6:30 p.m. ceremony.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory-colored over champagne fit and flare dress. The lace and charmeuse gown was accented by a slight bateau neckline as well as an open back and sweep train.

For her headpiece, she wore an ivory-colored cathedral veil.

She carried a bouquet of white anemone, ivory-colored and blush roses, ivory-colored spray roses, white stock, dusty miller and ivory-colored hypericum berries. The handle was an ivory-colored satin wrap pinned with a crucifix pendant from her maternal grandmother, Hazel Barrilleaux, and she wore a pearl and diamond ring from her paternal grandmother, Betsy Bourgeois.

Serving as matron of honor was Lauren Bourgeois Simon, sister of the bride, and as maid of honor was Raven Schexnayder. Bridesmaids were Kristin Ball, Sarah Bourgeois, cousin of the bride, Sara Gibson, Ashlie Landry, cousin of the bride and Amanda Voohries.

Serving as best man was Josh Moak. Groomsmen were Stephen Bourgeois, brother of the bride, Ricky Gomez, Patrick Hattaway, Michael Jarreau, brother of the groom, Jason Moak and Seth Waguespack.

Jeffrey Jarreau, father of the groom, and Kendall Prestidge, cousin of the groom, served as ushers.

A reception for family and friends was held at River Oaks Catering and Events Center in Lafayette.

Following a wedding trip to Saint Lucia, the couple will reside in Baton Rouge.
