Megan Jean Broussard and Kenneth Thurmon Pope Jr. were married Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Assembly Christian Center in New Iberia. The bride is the daughter of Amanda E. Comb of New Iberia. The groom is the son of Kenneth Thurmon Pope Sr. of Pensacola, Florida, and Charlotte H. Blanchard of New Iberia.

The Rev. Armand Prentiss officiated the 2 p.m. ceremony.

Escorted by her mother, the bride wore a white satin halter A-line dress that featured a V-neck and floral appliques on the dropped waist.

For her headpiece, she wore a 2-tier tulle elbow-length veil with beaded edging.

She carried a mixed spray bouquet of white roses and various blue spring flowers.

Serving as matron of honor was Blaire Trahan. Bridesmaid was Brooksie B. Tate, sister of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Emma Loomis. Flower girl was Isabelle Breaux. Ring bearer was Asa Trahan Jr.

Serving as best man was Caleb Keller. Groomsman was Aaron McClaskey.

Joshua Fortenberry and Joshua Richard served as ushers.

A reception for family and friends was held at Assembly Christian Center Hall in New Iberia.

Following a wedding trip to San Antonio, Texas, the couple will reside in Lafayette.
