“I have thoroughly enjoyed representing District 1,” Lopez-Robin said. “Challenging as it was, with open communication the financial state of the city has taken a turn for the better.”

“Continuing to fight for the growth and revitalization of District 1 is a top priority.  I will maintain my policy of accessibility and working together with everyone for the best possible outcome.”

Lopez-Robin, 32, cited cutting more than $3 million from the city budget for more efficient spending of taxpayer dollars was an accomplishment in her first term. Other accomplishments include the Daspit Road reconstruction, the completion of the Jefferson Street bridge and an ordinance permitting food trucks in the city.

Some of Lopez-Robin’s community involvement includes being a member of Iberia on Tap, the Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival Association, the Acadian Acres Neighborhood Watch Group and a 2013 graduate of Leadership Iberia.
