Katie Louise Harrington and Reid Matthew Romero were married Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Broussard. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Harrington Jr. of Lafayette. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rory Romero of Youngsville.
The Rev. Bill Ruskoski officiated the 7 p.m. ceremony.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory-colored, high collar illusion neckline decorated with lace appliques. The bodice had a fit and flare silhouette, illusion long sleeves and a dramatic back with chapel train.
For her headpiece, she wore her mother’s heirloom cathedral veil.
She carried a whimsical bouquet of burgundy, creamy yellow and ivory-colored flowers including peonies, chocolate dahlias, ranunculus and rubicon spray roses along with a mix of eucalyptus and azalea greenery with an heirloom rosary entwined within.
Serving as maid of honor was Jymmye Shafer. Bridesmaids were Brittany Romero, sister-in-law of the groom, Megan Harrington, sister-in-law of the bride, Kasey George, Amanda Willis and Kayla Stansbury. Flower girls were Emerie and Morgan Romero, nieces of the groom. Ring bearer was Carter Romero, godson of the groom.
Serving as best man was Nash Romero, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Todd Harrington, brother of the bride, Brady Romero, cousin of the groom, Eric Picard, Dustin Picard, Nick Clark and Jordy Hill.
Colby Guidry, Matt LeBlanc, Sully Saunier and Kyle Latiolais served as ushers. Lectors were Susan Scarborough, godmother of the bride and Marty Menard, cousin of the groom.

A reception for family and friends was held at The Madison in Broussard.
Following a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Youngsville.
