Mrs. James Houston Simon

Emily Morgan Alexander and James Houston Simon were married at La Cantera Resort in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday, June 24, 2017.

The Reverend Christopher O. Cole officiated the 5:30 pm ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Lincoln Alexander of Southlake, Texas, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs James Hunt Simon of New Iberia.

Escorted by her father, the bride was stunning in her fitted Essence of Australia gown. The designer gown featured a high neckline accented by Alencon and French lace detailing on the cap sleeves, cut-outs, and down the sides of the gown. The gown also featured a unique cameo back, highlighted by laser cut detailing on the train.

For her headpiece, the bride wore a cathedral length veil and blusher of white tulle.

She carried a classic bridal bouquet featuring large peonies, garden roses, ranunculus, light greenery, and additional delicate flowers for a romantic touch. The bouquet was tied with hand dyed Illume silk ribbon.

Serving as maid of honor was Jeana Gragnani. Bridesmaids were Natalie Alexander, cousin of the bride, Julia Ball, Jacqueline Belur, Felicia Montoya, Laura Shields, and Adrienne Simon, sister of the groom. The flower lady was Ms. Nicole Babineaux, friend of the bride and groom.

Serving as best man was Hunt Simon, brother of the groom, Michael Alexander, brother of the bride, Jon Davis King, Zachary Rhodes, Leon “IV” Roy, Nicholas Sapienza, and Warner Simon, brother of the groom.

Nathan Alexander, cousin of the bride, Joseph Cobena, Jordan Douglas, and Jonathan Tobler served as ushers.

A wonderful, fun-filled reception featuring the band, Memphis Train Review, was held for family and friends immediately after the ceremony at La Cantera Resort.

Following a honeymoon to Playa Mujeres, Mexico, the couple will make their home in Lafayette.
