A Home-going celebration will be held for Lisa Ann Chenette, 46, at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Fletcher Funeral Home in New Iberia, with Rev. Wilfred Johnson officiating.

She will await the resurrection in Morning Pilgrim Baptist Cemetery, Jeanerette.

Visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home at 8 a.m. until time of service.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Lisa passed away at 10:58 a.m. Sunday, October 15, 2017, at her residence.

Lisa leaves to cherish her memory her only son Kenneth Javon Chenette of New Iberia; two daughters Leshekia LaRay Chenette of Jeanerette and Britany Marie Chenette of New Iberia; her parents, Paul Archangel of Jeanerette and Julia Mae Clay of New Iberia; one brother Robert Clay III, (Mariko), of Jeanerette; five sisters Theresa Guy, (Donald), of Youngsville, Martha Ayro, (Shawn), of Jeanerette, Melinda Clay, (Juan Hogan), LaKisha Clay and Christine Clay, all of New Iberia; two special uncles Milton Clay, (Irma), of Houston, Texas and Lawrence Chenette of New Iberia; eleven grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her stepfather Robert Clay Jr.; a sister Barbara Marie Clay; maternal grandparents, Lawrence Chenette and Lillie Mae Chenette; paternal grandparents, Robert Clay Sr. and Leona Clay; and a granddaughter Britlynn Chenette.

Active pallbearers will be Robert Clay III, Donald Guy, Shawn Ayro, Benny Brown Jr., Radsheed Allen and Jiquin Allen.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Chenette, Juan Clay, Justin Carter, Delwin Armstead, Juan Hogan and Renny Keal.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Fletcher Funeral Home, 609 West Admiral Doyle Drive New Iberia, Louisiana 70560.
