Mrs. Eric Jordan Presley

Alexandra Donaldson and Eric Jordan Presley were united in marriage Saturday, September 30, 2017, at sunset in Orange Beach, Alabama. Rev. Scott Bullock officiated the 5:30 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Buddy Donaldson. Alexandra is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Kinsey Martin formerly of Minden, LA. Her paternal grandparents were the late Dr. and Mrs. Kerwin V. Donaldson Sr. formerly of Alexandria.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a trumpet-style ivory-colored gown with a fitted silhouette the bodice made of embroidered Venice lace. The neckline featured a soft sweetheart shape accented with crystals, pearls and seeded beads. Matching pattern details were featured lace which led to the skirt of English netting and tulle. The sweeping train also was made of English netting cascading gracefully as the bride moved. A satin sash adorned with pearls and crystals compliment the neckline.

A pearl and crystal satin ribbon headpiece was intertwined in her hair with a fingertip crystal-edged veil attached.

Alexandra carried a cascading bouquet of lavender-colored roses, eggplant-colored mini calla lillies, purple Makara orchids, lavender stock, eucalyptus and dusty miller. The stems were wrapped with ivory-colored ribbon. Tucked into the bride’s bouquet was a piece of lace from her mother’s bridal gown.

Serving as maid of honor was Addison Renee Eskind, godchild of the bride, and Ashley Renee Eskind, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Morgan and Lauren Presley, sisters of the groom, Adrianna Liendo, Mary Anne Banks, Rachel Bentley and Harlie Nevers.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Christenson of Peachtree City, Georgia, and Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Presley of Meansville, Georgia. Eric is the grandson of Mrs. Joan Dawson of Indianapolis, Indiana, and the late Richard Dawson. His paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Tom Young of Oxford, Mississippi, and the late Kenneth Presley.

Mathew Williams, a close friend of the groom served as the best man. Groomsmen were Luke Presley, brother of the groom, Chase Bentley, Pat Marks, Drew Nevers and Mike Shanley.

Serving as ring bearer was Jonathon Bricker Eskind, nephew of the bride. Bennett David Eskind, nephew of the bride, served as the sign bearer. Carl Christenson, stepfather of the groom, and Jeremy Eskind, brother-in-law of the bride, served as readers for the ceremony.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held on the 29th floor of Turquoise Place overlooking the beach.

Following a honeymoon trip to Jamaica, the couple will reside in Lafayette.
