DAYLILY FESTIVAL & GARDEN SHOW

When: Saturday, June 1, 2024 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: Magdalen Square, Abbeville

What: A celebration of horticulture and all that it involves from plants, garden accessories, educational speakers and food booths. Sale booths will include Daylilies, Hibiscus, rare and unusual plants, garden supplies, tools, patio items, birdhouses and more.

DELCAMBRE SEAFOOD AND FARMERS MARKET

When: Saturday, June 1, 2024 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Bayou Carlin Cove, Delcambre

What: Outdoor seafood market with what’s fresh for the season from area farms and local waters, along with tasting opportunities and recipes, live music, kids activities and other special events. There will be lots of gift vendors as well as the usual food and produce vendors.

USTPA PENNING ON THE BAYOU

When: Friday, May 31, 2024 at 6 p.m. to Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 3 p.m.

Where: Sugarena at Acadiana Fairgrounds

What: A timed event for riders on horseback to identify, move and pen specific cattle from a herd in a limited amount of time. All cattle, except the ones being penned, must be kept on one side of the starting line (often called the “cattle side”) until time is called.
