BoxDrop Mattress of Iberia owners’ aim to provide a need and service for the community of New Iberia.

Crystal and Kevin Arceneaux are the owners of BoxDrop Mattress of Iberia. The two were born and raised in Iberia parish. Both are heavily involved in their community, including their jobs as educators in the Iberia School District.

Both are still current educators and have enjoyed every moment of it. While they still are educators, they have always longed to become business owners.

They decided to open up BoxDrop Mattress of Iberia in 2021.

“We were looking for many years to start a business and when it came to deciding on a location, New Iberia was chosen without question,” Crystal said. “We felt we had a lot to offer the community and we wanted to give back by providing a resource and service to the place that we have called home all of our lives.”

BoxDrop Mattress is a franchise with stores all over the U.S.They offer a wide variety of products, including luxury mattresses at discounted prices, pillow tops, hybrids, memory foams, bed frames, adjustable bases, and more. Their territorial rights span throughout Iberia and the neighboring parishes.

As a contractor with manufacturers, Crystal and her husband purchase large quantities of high-quality products, priced for the consumer to enjoy luxury but with affordability.

Crystal and Kevin’s business model of client-based, appointment-style has helped them

succeed these last few years.

They are able to meet with their clients one-on-one in their off-time, for a more flexible working

schedule for the two. They enjoy the personal attention they have with everyone they serve. Building relationships and excellent customer service is priority for them, evidenced by their customer comments and raving reviews.

They accept all forms of payment, offer financing for their products and they offer layaway for their customers. Crystal added that they also offer delivery for their customers, at a fraction of the cost, compared to others.

Crystal said the aim of BoxDrop Mattress of Iberia is simple: to provide a much-neede =d resource to the community.

“Because everyone deserves a great night’s sleep,” Crystal said.

That fact that everyone needs a mattress was a driving force for the two. Their background i education has helped them along the way. They take time with everyone that they serve by showing visuals and educating their customers on the different kinds of mattresses they have the opportunity to buy.

The work they do together, for their community, comes down to relationships and the people they build them with.

One thing they are most proud of is the fact that their community outreach allows them to provide mattresses to shelters, fire and police departments, as well as catering to the local farmers and their workers.

This all leads back to their mission to be a business that meets the needs of so many in New Iberia.

“I think the greatest joy is when people leave with a luxury mattress that they thought they would never be able to own, but through us, they can own one,” Crystal said.

There are possible plans down the line for Crystal and Kevin to have more BoxDrop Mattress stores surround Iberia parish.
