Congressman Clay Higgins to host town hall meeting in New Iberia

Republican Congressman Clay Higgins has announced a town hall meeting in New Iberia on August 20 at 5:30 p.m.
The event will be held at Magnolia Square at 111 Iberia St.
Higgins, who represents Louisiana’s 3rd District, has held office since 2017, when he replaced Charles Boustany. Prior to being elected, Higgins was best known for his work with the St. Landry Parish Crimestoppers. His videos garnered national attention, earning Higgins the moniker “Cajun John Wayne”.
Since taking office, Higgins has earned a spot on several important committees, including serving as the Chair to the Subcommittee on Border Security and Enforcement and serving as a member on the Subcommittee on Emergency Management and Technology, Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs and the Subcommittee on Government Operations and the Federal Workforce.
The event will be free and open to the public.
