The Iberia Parish Council will be voting on an agreement between the parish government and First Solar for the development of Hangar Drive at Wednesday’s meeting.

The cooperative endeavor agreement will provide for a development agreement for the extension of the road, as well as improvements to Louisiana 3212 and the relocation of a water line at the Acadiana Regional Airport.

Another resolution to be voted on will authorize the parish president to execute an agreement between the parish, Iberia Parish Airport Authority, Louisiana National Guard and the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness to provide for a regional staging area for emergency operations at the Acadiana Regional Airport.

The council will also vote on a resolution on behalf of the Iberia Parish Council and local businesses urging the Department of Transportation and Development to re-open Airport Boulevard train tracks where the train accident occurred earlier this year to avoid restricting access to the Acadiana Regional Airport.

A resolution to transfer $83,398 to transfer American Rescue Plan Act funding from road repair work to the Vida Shaw Bridge Project will also be voted on. If approved, the adjustment will have no effect on the fund budget, according to the agenda.

The meeting will take place 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Iberia Parish Courthouse.
