The Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival held its final parade Sunday afternoon with the Royalty Parade rolling through downtown New Iberia.

As the name suggests, pageant royalty as from the Sugar Cane Festival as well as other festivals took part in the parade as hundreds lined both sides of Main Street to catch throws.

Royalty present included King Sucrose LXXX James “Jim” H. Simon and Queen Sugar LXXIX Avery Claire Hebert, along with Festival Honoree Dr. Kenneth Gravois, Grand Marshal Mark Boyance and Mr. Iberia Larry Hensgens.
