Two search warrants leads to drug arrest

Two search warrants executed by the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office culminated in a single arrest in Breaux Bridge Friday.

Deputies with the Violence Crimes Task Force simultaneously executed two narcotic search warrants at residences in the 700 block of Cecile Boulevard and 2000 Doyle Melancon Road in Breaux Bridge following an investigation regarding illegal drug activity.

Damian Williams, 35, Breaux Bridge, was arrested as the subject of the investigation and charged with the following:

Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule 1 (MDMA)-1 count

Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule 1 (Marijuana)-1 count

Manufacture; Distribution; PWIT Schedule II Narcotics-1 count

Prohibited Acts- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia-1 count

Possession of a Firearm Committing/Attempt Crime-1 count

Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon-1 count

illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm-2 counts

Following his arrest, he was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the above charges.

In April of 2023, deputies with the Violent Crimes Task Force previously arrested Damian Williams on several narcotics charges when he was found in possession of 37 crack cocaine rocks and 19.7 grams of marijuana.
