A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted for Mrs. Steve James Peltier, the former Carolyn Jeanne Hebert, 62, at 2 p.m. Friday, June 23, 2017, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Melancon officiating. Chantel Peltier and Brandi Peltier will serve as lectors and Curtlyn Arabie, Chacelyn Peltier and Caitlin Peltier will serve as gift bearers. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Thursday with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. The funeral home will reopen at 8 a.m. until 1:30 a.m. on Friday.

A native of Delcambre and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Peltier passed away at 5:31 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at her residence.

Mrs. Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She had a servant’s heart, humble spirit and was a friend to all.

She volunteered her time to organizations such as Boy Scouts of America, St Ann’s Altar Society and the Red Cross and was the Louisiana pen pal picnic co-coordinator for 35 years.

Her past time activities included crocheting, sewing, reading and babysitting and collecting turtles and owls. She most enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons Chet Peltier and wife, Brandi, of Lafayette, Chad Peltier, Cory Peltier and wife, Chantel and Clint Peltier Sr. and fiancé Heidi Guidry, all of New Iberia; six grandchildren Caitlin Peltier; Maxwell Peltier; Curtlyn Arabie; Chacelyn Peltier; Caelen Peltier and Clint Peltier Jr.; two sisters Marie Louise “Mary” Callahan of Rynella and JoAnn Hebert Vincent of Abbeville; two brothers Joseph Morris Hebert of New Iberia and Kent Joseph Hebert of Abbeville; and numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Steve James Peltier; parents, Joseph Gabriel and Audrey Mae LeBlanc Hebert; maternal grandparents, Dudley and Daisy Babineaux LeBlanc; paternal grandparents, George and Odette LeBlanc Hebert; godparents Doris Broussard and Wildon Callais Jr.; her niece Patty Ann Callahan; and her brother Wayne John Hebert.

Pallbearers will be Chet Peltier, Chad Peltier, Cory Peltier, Clint Peltier, Jude Peltier, Sterling Callahan, Ronald “Ronnie” Hebert and Jeffrey Peltier. Maxwell Peltier, Caelen Peltier and Clint Peltier Jr. will serve as honorary pallbearers.
