Cynthia Migues Hebert

Memorial services will be held Thursday, May 26, at 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Father DuPre officiating, for Cynthia Migues Hebert, age 69, who passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016, at Iberia Medical Center. She has donated her body to science in order to help others.

Cynthia loved making jewelry, and helping others with their shopping needs by giving them rides if needed. She was an avid Wal Mart customer and spent considerable time shopping for herself and others. She held a very special place in her heart for those that knew her. She will be sadly missed.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jessie Hebert; daughter Melanie Hebert Cole and husband John Paul of Lafayette; sister Rebecca “Becky” Veillon and husband Wade Veillon of New Iberia; brother Charles “Bubba” Migues Jr. and wife Marian Migues of New Iberia; godmother Dorothy “Dot” Theall of Erath; and special niece Rachel Migues Hills and husband Wesley of New Iberia. The family wishes to thank her for all the things she did to help Cynthia in her time of needs.

She is also survived by niece Heather Romero; nephew Christopher “Chris” Veillon and wife Heather of New Iberia; nephew Dakota Migues; and sister-in-law Kitty Hebert from New Orleans.

Special thanks to Rosemary “Rosie” Brasseaux for the help and being there to support the family when needed. The family would also like to thank Brooke Boudreaux, Janelle Boudreaux and the New Iberia Rehab Center and staff for all the help in this difficult time.

She is also survived by her godchild Julie Delcambre and close friend Susan Romero; and great-nephew Levi Christopher Veillon.

She is preceded in death by her granddaughter Haily Jo Hebert, father Charles Migues Sr., mother Florence “Tuttie” Migues and brother Tommy Migues.
