Edmund Roy Comeaux Jr.

Memorial services will be conducted for Edmund Roy Comeaux Jr., 63, on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at 10 a.m. in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Wade Broussard officiating.

A gathering of the family will begin at 9:30 a.m. until time of services.

He was a graduate of University of Louisiana at Lafayette and earned a degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice. He served three years in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a deputy with the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office for two years and began his career with the Louisiana State Police as a State Trooper and served as the Public Information Officer prior to his retirement. After his retirement he served as the Iberia Parish Civil Defense Coordinator.

He is survived by his mother, Betty Fages Comeaux, of Lafayette; his daughters Brooke Comeaux of New Iberia and Shannon Comeaux of Jeanerette; his son Ryan Comeaux of Fort Worth, Texas; his brothers Guy Comeaux of Lafayette and Todd Comeaux of New Iberia; and his grandchildren Brock Minvielle of New Orleans, Triston Mabry of New Iberia and Brylann Comeaux of Fort Worth, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edmund R. Comeaux Sr.
