JEANERETTE — Gloria Provost, 71, a resident of Birmingham, Ala., and a native Jeanerette, died Saturday, October 5, 2013, at 3:30 p.m. at St. Vincent Hospital in Birmingham, Ala.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 12, 2013, at Calvary Pentecostal Church, 12310 E. U.S. Highway 90, in Jeanerette from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Heavenly Rest Cemetery in Jeanerette. Officiating will be the Rev. Ellis Provost.

Gloria leaves to cherish her memories four sons Reginald “Tina” Provost Sr., of Port Arthur, Texas, the Rev. Ellis “Carla” Provost of Birmingham, Ala., Leonard Provost of Beaumont, Texas, and Joshua “Letonya” Provost Sr., of Nederland, Texas; one daughter Mrs. Eugene (Yolanda) Lavine of Birmingham, Ala.; one brother Raymond Sam Sr. of Jeanerette; four sisters Martha Casimere of Oklahoma, Annie Keal of Jeanerette, Elvina Patin of Grand Marais and Victoria Olivier of Grand Marais; 21 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
