She worked as a nanny, nurse’s aide, waitress, bus driver and bank teller before retiring to work with Pop in the abstract business.

Survivors include daughter JoAnn Ligi and husband Joseph of Tyler, Texas; son David Broussard and wife Carol of Baton Rouge; daughter Lena Lahasky and husband Andrew of Spring, Texas; daughter Lydia Hoffman and husband Rich of Alexandria, Virginia; son-in-law, Rev. Patrick Broussard; daughter-in-law, Kim Broussard; 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Mrs. Marin was preceded in death by her parents, Elodias Dronet and Elina Washespark; her two husbands, Fred Broussard Sr. and Rufus Marin Jr. and three of her children, Fred Broussard Jr., Russell Broussard and Aminthe Broussard.

The family would like to extend their extreme gratitude for the care and compassion provided to Helen by Toni Molaire, Brenda James, Our Lady of Lourdes Hospice and her family at Azalea Estates.
