A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Jeanette W. Foreman, 61, the former Jeanette Wiltz, Saturday, June 8, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Edward Catholic Church with Monsignor Ronald Broussard celebrant.
Entombment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery in St. Martinville.
A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, June 8, 2013, from 7 to 10:30 a.m. at Fletcher’s Funeral Home; a rosary will be recited at 9 a.m.
A native of St. Martinville and resident of New Iberia, Ms. Foreman passed away on June 3, 2013, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. She was a faithful member of St. Edward Catholic Church. A 1964 graduate of Holy Rosary Institute in Lafayette, she was a lifelong educator and taught at Trinity Catholic School in St. Martinville, St. Martinville Junior High School, Iberia Middle School and Belle Place Middle School. She was also the secretary at St. Martinville Elementary and the Reading Teacher at St. Martinville Junior High School for a few years.
Left to cherish her memories is one son Jamal Foreman of Laurel, Md.; one daughter Radiah Foreman of New Iberia; her former husband, Walter V. Foreman Jr. of New Iberia; five brothers Alvin (Monica) Wiltz of Breaux Bridge, Elmer (Mae Willa) Wiltz Jr. of Parks, Ray Wiltz of Shreveport, Gregory Wiltz of Houston, Texas, and Chester (Stella) Wiltz of Breaux Bridge; two sisters Lois W.(Odell) Trahan and Charlene Wiltz both of St. Martinville and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She now joins in glory with parents, Elmer and Mabel Williams Wiltz Sr.; one brother Charlie Wiltz; and two sisters Madel Wiltz and Linda W. Smith.
Active pallbearers will be Richard Lewis, Ron Wiltz, Freddie Williams, Thomas J. Hutcherson Jr., Hershel Williams and Clayton Vanderbilt.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kerry Malik, Alvin Wiltz, Elmer Wiltz, Jr., Ray Wiltz, Gregory Wiltz, Chester Wiltz and James J. Hutcherson Sr.
