Al and Elaine retired from their perspective professions and opened a small restaurant in New Iberia named the Lagniappe Too Café. They operated the successful restaurant for 25 years, serving the folks of New Iberia and around the world until closure in July 2011. Al and Elaine moved into Garden View Assisted Living in 2014.
