John Melvin “Bubba” LeBlanc

DELCAMBRE — A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mr. John Melvin “Bubba” LeBlanc, 79, at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Fr. Nathan Comeaux officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday with a Rosary at 7 p.m. The funeral home will reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday until service time.
A native and resident of Delcambre, Mr. LeBlanc passed away at 6:48 p.m. on March 29, 2016 at Abbeville General Hospital.
John was a U.S. Navy veteran having served two years on the air craft carrier, USS Tarawa. He enjoyed music and played guitar. John loved playing golf, hunting, and fishing. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lois Boudreaux LeBlanc; son, Sid LeBlanc and wife Sonja of Broussard, Barry LeBlanc and Angela Morvant of Delcambre, and Logan LeBlanc and Lanee Boudreaux of Lafayette; daughter, Leslie Cambreand husband Andre’ of Luling; brother, Kurt LeBlanc of Delcambre; sister, Rebecca LeBlanc of Delcambre; and grandchildren, Christian, Grant, Cameron, Aaron, Clayton, Caroline, Ryker, Brecken, and Reagan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Annie Toups LeBlanc; sister, Betty Thibodeaux; and brother-in-law, Carrol Thibodeaux.
Pallbearers will be Grant LeBlanc, Christian LeBlanc, Cameron Cambre, Aaron Cambre, Clayton Cambre, and Ned LeBlanc.
