Virginia Nugent Yandle

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2013, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Virginia Nugent Yandle, 74, who died on Thursday, May 23, 2013.

Interment will follow in the Rosehill Cemetery.

The Rev. Paul Neel, pastor of the Assembly Christian Center, will officiate.

A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. Visitation will continue Friday at 8 a.m. until time of service.

Born on July 22, 1938, in New Iberia, Virginia was the daughter of Essie Deare and Alonza Nugent Sr. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter Julie Champagne and her husband, Raymond, of Baton Rouge; her son Craig Yandle and his wife, Barbara, of Milton, Ontario; her sister Ruth Boudreaux of New Iberia; her grandchildren Alexis Champagne, Eric Champagne and his wife, Brooke, and Gerry Timbers.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her children Angela, Alice, Lee Alan and Kathleen Yandle; her three brothers A. L. Nugent, Eddie Nugent and Oliver Nugent; and Albert Yandle.

Pallbearers will be Craig Yandle, Eric Champagne, David Clark, Raymond Champagne, Pat Nugent and John Warner.
