I would like to give thanks to the New Iberia Senior High School football team, coach and principal for the wonderful work that was done at the St. Matthew cemetery.

They played a game on Friday night, but they were up bright and early on Saturday morning to help with the cleaning up of the cemetery.

It was a pleasure to work with these kids and the adults who came with them. Their excitement made the day a very pleasant one.

It shows what we can do when working together for a common goal.

I would also like to thank councilwoman Deedy Johnson-Reid and everyone who came out that day to help make this project a success. God bless.
