The New Iberia Senior High School football team released its schedule for the upcoming year, and it includes many must-see games for Yellow Jacket fans.

NISH has brought in a familiar face to lead the Yellow Jackets this season, hiring former defensive coordinator Josh Lierman following the departure of former coach Curt Ware. Lierman will be implementing a new offense and defensive scheme, going away from the Wing-T offense utilized by Ware during his tenure. 

Despite ending last season with a 0-10 record, NISH showed that the players still had the quality to compete with some of the toughest teams in the state. Lierman will look to maximize the effectiveness of the tools at his disposal, and given his motivated core of skilled players, fans should expect the team to do big things in the upcoming season.
