The Iberia Performing Arts League will hold auditions for “The Miracle Worker” beginning June 12. 

Auditions for the role of Helen Keller will be held on June 12 at 4 p.m. Auditions will also be held for other children in the cast, which include six blind students (boys and girls), a servant boy and servant girl.  All children should be about 9-12 years old. 

Auditions for the adults in the “The Miracle Worker” cast will be held June 26 at 4 p.m. and June 27 at 6 p.m. 

The adult roles are: 

Annie Sullivan – Helen’s teacher; age early to mid 20s, physically demanding role. 

Captain Keller – Helen’s dictatorial father; ages 45-55

Kate Keller – Helen’s doting mother; late teens to early 20s

James Keller – Helen’s half brother; late teens to early 20s

Aunt Ev – A busybody aunt who visits often; 60+

Viney – loving servant of the Keller family; ages 30-40 

Mr Anagnos – Annie’s mentor; middle aged
