A home-going celebration will be held for Mrs. Annie T. Williams, the former Annie Taylor, 63, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Fletcher Funeral Home with Rev. Junius Darby, officiating.
She will await the resurrection in St. Matthew Cemetery in New Iberia.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday 8 a.m. until time of service.
A resident of New Iberia, she passed at 10:32 a.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Iberia Medical Center.
She was born to the union of Archie James Taylor Sr. and Lannis B. Walker.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was loved by all who knew her.
Annie T. Williams leaves to cherish her memory, a loving and devoted husband, Walter Williams; four daughters Tina Marie Robertson (Leroy Robertson), Christana Jones (Kenneth Jones), Ada Denise Williams (Curtis N.) and Drusilla Williams (Rivers Williams); eight grandchildren: Rayaeisha, Mackenzie, Raymond, Leitner, Leithan, Le’ryn, Kay’bryhn “Muffin” and and Rikavilyn “Big Mama”; her father, Archie James Taylor Sr.; four brothers Jimmy Taylor, Archie James Taylor Jr., Joseph Taylor and Kevin Benoit; nine sisters Delores Goday (George), Lucy Nell Jeanbatiste (Michael), Lucy Ann Jones, Naomi Holmes (Willie), Stacey Benoit, Brandy Benoit, Kelly Benoit, Amy Benoit and Christina Benoit all of New Iberia; sisters in-law Donna Faye Armster and Jonnie Mae Armster; brothers in-law Donald Armster and Albert Armster Jr. (Margie); her caretaker Laneisha Lewis (Jabrison Harrison); and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lannis Walker; brother Junius Taylor; sisters Melody Benoit and Rossella Carter; and brother in-law James Lewis.
Active Pallbearers are Kenneth Jones, Jabrison Harrison, Albert Armster Jr., Michael Williams, Leroy Robertson and Johnny Syon.
Honorary Pallbearers are Elroy Carter, Justin Carter, Joseph Taylor, Morris Cole, Tarmane Lewis and Greg Jones.
