Don’t increase old taxes
Some months ago, I sent Taylor Barras a complimentary and appreciative letter. Now I question my judgment concerning that letter.
Newspaper articles and radio reports of closed (I call them secret) meetings have caused me great concern and worry. Anytime I or people like me hear the words “closed” meetings, our fear antennas activate causing anxiety because of the big “T” word. Even if I personally would benefit because of increased taxes upon others, I still oppose them. There is no good reason to increase taxes in today’s state economy and poor condition.
I urge you to continue as you have in past sessions. Please do not cower when you are insulted by KEII (no relation to KEI) for showing as he said a lack of leadership. I say just the opposite. That was one of the few signs of leadership in my 80 years of life.
Please, please, please, no new increase of old taxes.
