The New Iberia City Council will sign off on several budget amendments pertaining to the Armenco Canal Project at tonight’s meeting.

The council will vote on a resolution awarding a bid to CDG Energy, LLC. in the amount of $60,242 to enter into a contract for a pump station generator addition for Armenco.

Another resolution will authorize and direct Mayor Freddie DeCourt on behalf of the city in connection to a cooperative endeavor agreement between New Iberia and the state of Louisiana for the project.

The council will amend $26,500 from the general fund to the public works fund in order to amdne costs for the Armenco pump station generator. The funds will be used for engineering fees and equipment acquisition.

In other business, the council will vote on an additional budget amendment of $4,990 for the repairing of the roof of the Bayou Teche Museum. The council will authorize $19,000 in annual dues for the Acadiana Metropolitan Planning Organization.

The meeting is at 5:30 p.m. at New Iberia City Hall.
