Janice Ann Joseph

PETIT ANSE — A Home-going celebration will be held for Janice Ann Joseph, 67, at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2017, at Mount Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Mideate Derouen officiating.

She will await the resurrection at Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Petite Anse.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday at the church until time of service.

A resident of New Iberia, she passed away at 5:31 p.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Lafayette General Medical Center.

She was a 1968 graduate of Park Avenue High School in Franklin. Janice was employed at Iberia Medical Center for thirty- three years until her retirement. She was currently employed by the Doerle family until her death. She was a faithful member of Mount Zion Baptist Church where she involved in the Women’s Ministry.

She leaves to cherish her memory two sons Brian Little Sr. (Bridget) and Jason Joseph of New Iberia; four daughters Crystal Guillory (Jesse) of Sunset, Sharonda Joseph, Brittany Joseph and Irma Colbert (Mitchell) of New Iberia; one sister Loyce J. Lewis of Morgan City; three brothers Rev. Arnold Ray Joseph (Doris) of Franklin, Eugene Joseph (Debra) of Arnaudville and Phillip K. Joseph (Ianthia) of Charenton; twelve grandchildren; a childhood friend Mrs. Elizabeth Arceneaux of Jeanerette; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip Joseph and Agnes Pierre Joseph; and three sisters Irma Joseph, Barbara Joseph and Maureen Jenkins.

Active pallbearers will be Jason Joseph, Brian Little Sr., Andre Joseph, Phillip K. Joseph Jr., Ethan Smith and Trevor Joseph.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gregory Little, Brian Little Jr., Jalien Nobles, Eugene Joseph, Rev. Arnold Ray Joseph, Eugene Joseph and Joseph Davis.
