Term: January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2022 (mutual option for one year rollover first year as terms no less than the final year of his agreement)

Base Salary: $250,000 annual salary (increase $25,000 on January 1, 2019, increase $50,000 on January 1, 2020, increase $75,000 on January 1, 2021, increase $100,000 on January 1, 2022).

Deferred: $100,000 annual contribution by university to a designated fund owned by the university.

Additional: Foundation/Annual Supplemental ($500,000), Car Allowance/Courtesy Vehicle ($6,000), Cell Phone ($960), Tickets/Home Game (25).

Incentives: Per the following with the maximum possible per category shaded: Academic ($25,000), SBC Divisional Championship ($25,000), SBC Championship ($50,000), SBC Defined Bowl Appearance ($25,000), New Year’s Six Bowl Appearance ($100,000), New Year’s Six Bowl Win ($150,000), CFP Appearance ($200,000), National Champion ($250,000), National Coach of the Year ($50,000), SBC Coach of the Year ($25,000) and Louisiana Coach of the Year ($10,000).

Compensation Summary: Base ($250,000), Additional ($506,960), Guaranteed ($756, 960), Deferred ($100,000), Maximum Incentives ($610,000), Year 1 Potential Value ($1,466,960).

Assistant Coach/Staff Compensation (Maximum Salary Pool): $2,000,000

Termination of contract: University terminates without cause: University shall be liable to Coach for liquidated damages as follows: 75 percent of remaining base and additional compensation plus the deferred compensation as calculated above in one lump sum within 60 days of termination. There will be no offsetting of these amounts. Benefits and additional pay will end on terminated date.

Coach terminates for another coaching job: Coach shall pay University within 60 days of termination as follows: Year 1 (prior to Dec. 31, 2018)-$2,750,00, Year 2 (prior to Dec. 31, 2019)-$2,000,000, Year 3 (prior to Dec. 31, 2020)-$1,250,000, Year 4 (prior to Dec. 31, 2021)-$750,000, Year 5 (prior to Sept. 1, 2022)-$500,000. All other terms will end on date of termination.
