Alexis Broussard

Funeral services will be conducted for Alexis “Boo” Broussard, 53, at 12 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2018, in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Brian Harrington officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 14, 2018, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and resume on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. A Rosary will be prayed in the funeral home by the Men’s Rosary Group on Friday at 7 p.m.

A native of Iberia Parish and a resident of New Iberia, Boo passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at 5:09 p.m. at her residence.

She is survived by her father, Melvin J. Broussard Sr. and his wife, Lucy and her mother, Brenda Touchet all of New Iberia; her grandmother, Edith R. Touchet of New Iberia; godmother Edie Touchet and wife, Linda Rodrigue, of Baton Rouge; her aunts Dolly Carpenter, Dean Oliva and husband, Edward, Harriet Vincent all of New Iberia, Virgie Marshall of Youngsville and Kathleen Broussard of Carencro; her step-sisters Mitzi Gondron and husband, Curtis Birch, of Lafayette and Robby Trahan and husband, Timmy, of Erath; her step-brothers Earl Gondron Jr. and wife, Ellen, of Loreauville, Scott Gondron and wife, Trudy, of New Iberia and Ronnie Gondron of Atlanta, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Gus Touchet and Melvin V. Broussard; her grandmother, Solange Broussard; her step-dad Earl Gondron Sr.; her uncles Tommy Marshall, Bobby Myers, Leroy Vincent and Henry Rivet; her aunt Geraldine Rivet; and her cousin Paul Vincent.

Pallbearers will be Curtis Birch, Scott Gondron, Tyler Bourque, Billy Savoy, Robert Myers and Taylor Anderson.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her friends, Cero, George and Matthew and the Staff of Fresenius Kidney Care and Dr. Harrington.
