LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Fix the budget

Between Gov. John Bel Edwards, Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser and the rest of the Democratic party, the only fix that will happen is that the state of Louisiana will spend $600,000 on the special session and they won’t fix anything. They will all point fingers and go the blame route.

They can try all of the scare tactics they want. I said it last year and I’ll say it again. There is plenty of money to fix the budget if they wouldn’t spend it on their lifestyles, fine cars, dinner parties and wasteful employees that do nothing but draw a check.

A fine example was the luxury compound that the state was providing for some Louisiana State Police and special treatment for Mardi Gras.

Take my word, there is plenty of money. They are just bullying us to get what they want.

Stop playing around with people’s lives and you all do what’s right for Louisiana and its people.

You are all well-educated men and women. Quit trying to keep all the marbles, share a little and we’ll all be happier.
