Funeral services for Georgette Jumonville Doiron will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2018, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Parish Hall in Jeanerette. The family will receive visitors beginning at noon until time of the Rosary at 2 p.m. followed by the final blessing by Father Charles Langlois at 2:45 p.m.

Georgette Jumonville Doiron, 86, a native resident of Jeanerette, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018, in New Iberia. She was a member of St. John Evangelist Catholic Church in Jeanerette, Catholic Daughters, local rosary groups and Legion of Mary. 

She was a loving housewife and mother. Georgette enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and visiting with family and friends. She also enjoyed going to the casino, helping others within the community and playing cards and Bingo with the residents of Maison Teche Nursing Home. 

Georgette is survived by her husband, Roy Doiron, of Jeanerette; daughter Janice Berthelot of Jeanerette; her two grandchildren Raymond (Kelli) Berthelot Jr. of Youngsville and Angel Mason of Catahoula; her two great-grandchildren Lexi Mason and Janice Berthelot; and sister Lorenza Meadows of Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

Georgette Doiron now reunites in her heavenly home with her parents, Walter Sr. and Valerie Broussard Jumonville; and her brothers Henry Jumonville, Walter “Bud” Jumonville Jr. and Charles “Hoppy” Jumonville.
