Bell Wormser
Bell Wormser, 85, of Palm Springs, died peacefully in her home on November 13, 2017.
Bell leaves behind her adopted daughter Kathy; nieces Celeste “Cessie,” Stephanie and Jennifer; and great-nieces and nephews Amanda, Alan Henry and Sophie.
Bell grew up in Jeanerette and moved to California with her mother Celeste and sister Georgette in 1949. Her brothers and sister Howard, Bussey, George and Georgette predeceased her.
Bell dedicated her life to helping people. Many said she was the most generous and selfless person they knew, and it was certainly true. Palm Springs was her home for 47 years and she loved the desert for its natural beauty, mountain views and wildflowers. She never forgot a birthday and in fact she maintained a birthday calendar and had a drawer organized and full of cards for every occasion. Very active in her church, she was part of the prayer team and spent countless hours with those who needed help and companionship.
Her love for the Lord, generosity and selflessness touched the lives of people in Palm Springs and beyond for almost five decades.
Services will be held at Living Water Church at 5000 E. Calle San Raphael, Palm Springs on Monday, November 20, 2017, at 1 p.m.
