The official poster for the 2017 World Championship Gumbo Cookoff was revealed Friday afternoon at the Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce, as artist Steve Seneca signed dozens of copies in the conference room. 

This is the second year Seneca served as the artist designing the official poster. As for the design, Seneca said it was all about the gumbo. 

“I wanted to show an enlarged bowl of gumbo, because what we’re promoting is gumbo,” Seneca said. “This is the gumbo cookoff, I wanted to show the finished product.”

The cookoff takes place Oct. 14 and 15.
