The New Iberia Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance with the investigation of a double homicide.

Shortly before 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, officers with the New Iberia Police Department arrived at the 700 block of Mississippi Street in response to a call about shots being fired. Two male victims were found unresponsive by the officers, both with gunshot wounds. Both died on scene because of their injuries.

Anyone with information about the theft may submit an anonymous tip at Iberia Crime Stoppers at 364-TIPS.
