Pro-life advocates march through New Iberia
Iberia Parish Catholics and pro-life advocates marched Tuesday evening as part of the March for Life campaign.
Participants met up at the grotto near the Iberia Parish Library, where local faithful led the crowd in the Chaplet of Divine Mercy before making their way downtown.
A New Iberia Police vehicle held up traffic so marchers could make their way from the grotto all the way to St. Peter’s Catholic Church, where a Mass was held for the event.
The official date for this year’s National March for Life was held on Sunday, where thousands gathered in Washington D.C. for the annual event. Smaller marches were also held all across the country in solidarity with the national march.
